I created a documentary titled “Strangers” which explores the work of local pinhole photographer, Yokko Han. As the driving force behind the project, I was responsible for the entire production process, from conceptualization to final delivery. This included developing the creative vision, managing all aspects of filming, and overseeing the editing process to craft a compelling and visually engaging narrative.
Production & Filming:
I led the production process, coordinating logistics, scouting locations, and capturing the photographer’s unique craft through thoughtful cinematography. The documentary highlights the artist’s creative process, the challenges of working with pinhole cameras, and the beauty of their resulting work.
Editing & Creative Vision:
In post-production, I edited the footage to create a seamless and immersive story. My focus was on maintaining a balance between the photographer’s personal journey and the technical intricacies of their art form. I ensured the documentary had a cohesive visual style, smooth pacing, and an emotional resonance that would captivate audiences.
Through this project, I aimed to not only showcase the photographer’s work but also to celebrate the patience, precision, and passion behind this unconventional art form.
